America's First Black President

Today is history in the making. Ill always remember where I was during this time of hope. I woke up early this morning to get to the voting polls early before school. Now I can say that my vote counted; I am apart of history. Just as the polls where closing in California, seconds later a new president was announced. Barack Obama is now the 44th President of the United States! Rest in Peace to your grandmother, Toot. And I hope that everything goes well during your years of Presidency. May God look upon you. God Bless America!

Futura/UnFutura High SB Dunk

These might be my first pair of high dunks. I wasn't into high dunks, but the colorway on these is straight fire. Hopefully they drop at Active, and if not then i might have to take a little trip down to the La Brea area.

The Glow in the Dark Tour

All I can say is... Wow! This was probably the greatest concert ever. The event was held in the Staples Center, where the WHOLE stadium was packed from top to bottom. Our seats where pretty decent; we sat on the first floor and had a great view of the stage. I felt sorry for those located on the third floor, for I experienced the feeling of having a nose bleed while at the Lakers vs. Clippers game. The performances went in this order: Lupe Fiasco (w/ Bishop G, Nikki Jean, and Matthew Santos), N.E.R.D. & Pharrell, Rihanna, and Kanye West. Kanye's performance was a killer; his whole set-up and the order in which he performed his songs made it spectacular. Kanye performed songs off of all 3 of his CD's without any breaks, so I knew Ye must have been tired as hell after that one. I also heard that it was Kanye's Birthday that day, which probably made him go all out during this tour date. I was so into Ye's performance that I accidentally smacked a lady i her face with my swinging arms. That ruined the mood for both me and her as we quietly enjoyed the rest of Ye's songs. The second best (in my opinion) was Lupe Fiasco's performance. Rihanna's was good and N.E.R.D.'s was meh, but I was still glad to see them perform. All being said, this concert was worth every penny. If they was to do another one, I would pay $500 for a ticket (yea, its worth THAT much to me).

Obama makes History!

Today, June 3, 2008, Senator Obama makes history as he wins the Democratic presidential nomination. Obama is the first African American to do so, making today a very historical night. It was a long 17-month marathon against Hillary Clinton, but finally America has chosen Senator Obama to represent the Democratic party in the race for presidency. Obama will be competing against Republican Senator John McCain during this time of Change! (*Photo provided by Yahoo! News)

Lakers are in the Finals!

The Lakers came up pretty big this season. Its been four years since we were in the finals; now we're back, battling it out with the Boston Celtics. I have started to see Laker pride everywhere now: the car flags, Laker jerseys & hats, on myspace pages. I must say, we are the CHAMPIONS. First game is in Boston on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 9:00pm E.T. (6:00pm Pacific Time on ABC). Be sure to watch it. The last time we played the Celtics during the finals was back in 1985 when Kareem Abdul-Jabbar led the Lakers to victory. Time to make history once again. (*Photo provided by LA Times)

Rest in Peace, Bo Diddley.

Bo Diddley died at age 79 on Monday, June 2, 2008. He will be missed. The tune I will always remember from him is his self entitle single, "Bo Diddley". Something about that song made you want to get up and dance, no matter what mood you was in. He was one of the greatest guitar players at his time. Your music shall live on forever, Bo Diddley.

Flashing Lights (Part Three)

Wow. This dropped sooner than I expected. I don't get the concept of the video yet, maybe someone would care to explain. Out of all three versions of Flashing Lights, I think I like Version 2 the best. Nevertheless, the ending to Version 3 was pretty sweet. Enjoy.

Flashing Lights (Part Two)

Okay, so the first video Kanye made of Flashing Lights was pretty unique. It was a short movie-type music video that left the world amazed. People couldn't believe that it was the Official Video. Now Mr. West has done it again with a second (of 3?) video, which incorporates the use of stop motion. Again, this video is very unique & creative. And DAMN, this chick has a nice body. Can't wait to see what Part 3 is going to include.
EDIT: BTW, I just found out that the model's name is Charlotte Carter-Allen.

And here is Part One if you haven't seen it or would just like to review it.

The Best MC. Hands Down!

Eli Porter Vs. Envy
If you haven't seen this battle, you haven't seen nothing yet! Eli comes at Envy with the heat. Slow & Steady Wins the Race son! The only problem Ive seen with this video is the god damn host, Marv-O,  is rubbing all up on his home boy. What's up with that? Props goes out to Eli for the best punch-line EVER ~ "Im the best mayne, I deed it" - Eli Porter. You be the judge.

Thanks UPS Man

Look what just arrived at my doorstep as soon as I got home.
